We proudly present the Caldera Collection, an assortment of distinct shapes with unique speckled and flat matte glazes in hues inspired by the desert landscapes of central and eastern Oregon.

The collection represents a departure of sorts for Clayhaus as we expand beyond the bright, bold colors and unique shapes that define our signature modern tile designs and embrace the high desert’s understated, subtle colors and textures. Caldera is a manifestation of Clayhaus co-founder Jason Coleman’s love for the desert, first developed as a teenager when he moved with his family to Nevada. It’s fair to say the Caldera Collection had been percolating for decades before emerging in tangible form.

The Caldera color palette’s soft, earthy tones derive from the Painted Hills in Oregon’s John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. Each hue is available in both flat and speckled finishes, providing designers freedom to explore any number of patterns meant to be both seen and felt. Crafted from specialty red stoneware, shapes were selected for their geometric simplicity, allowing the glaze colors and textures to take center stage. Custom shapes and color options are available for those interested in broadening the boundaries of creativity.
