Our Commitment to Sustainability

• Non-Toxic, Lead-Free Materials – Our glazes are completely lead-free, and we use nontoxic
  pigments made from oxides similar to those found in oil paints. Once fired, these pigments
  become completely inert, ensuring a safe and stable finished product for our customers.
  Pigments make up no more than .5% of the tile’s total weight.
• 100% Clay Recycling – We are committed to zero waste in our production process. Every bit
  of scrap clay is recycled back into the system, ensuring that no raw material is wasted.
• Green Power Commitment – Sustainability extends to our energy use. We purchase 100% green power for our manufacturing facility, reducing our carbon footprint and supporting renewable energy sources.
• On-Site Manufacturing – By producing our tiles locally in our Portland facility, we
  reduce transportation emissions and maintain high standards of craftsmanship with a lower
  environmental footprint.

LEED & Indoor Air Quality Compliance

Clayhaus Tile is proud to contribute to healthier indoor environments. Our ceramic tiles meet LEED’s Low-Emitting Materials criteria as inherently non-emitting sources.
